Associate Users
Many organisations manage a hybrid workforce where some resources are flexible, contract resource who just work on specific projects as needed. Many companies have a large number of these flexible resources. Typically, it can be too expensive to manage these resources within your regular HR or work management platform. Our Associate user pricing model solves this issue. You can create as many Associate users within Workup and we only charge a reduced license fee in months that that associate resource is active.
What is an Associate User?
An associate user is a regular user that has limited access to the system but is only charged for months that are active. Because an Associate user has limited functioinality then the license fee is reduced. An associate user is generally a contract or freelance user or event a third party supplier that you want to manage as a resource on one or more projects. An associate user can manage their leave, tasks, expenses and schedule but has limited access to other people's data. They only have access to projects to which they are assigned.
Create an Associate User
An Associate can be created as a user of user type = Associate. You can assign a single security role to an Associate user and there is a pre-defined Associate role that is available by default. You can change the default Associate role or create additional Associate roles. You can still manage an associate user as if they are a regular employee, the main difference is that the Associate user is restricted on what they can do or see when they log in.

Licensing
You can create as many Associate users as you want without impacting the number of licensed users you are Paying for. Workup only charges for Associates in months that they log in and use the system. You can see the number of associate users that have logged in during the quarter month on the Admin-Billing Details page. When your next payment is due, Workup will automatically an additional charge to your invoice based on the number of associate users that have logged in during that month.
