๐๏ธ Workflow Overview
Workup has a workflow module allowing you to define standard business processes and then execute them, ensuring the process is followed correctly and fully audited. These workflows can be linked to entities in Workup such as Employees and Projects. Example workflows could be New Project, New Starter, Role Change, New Customer etc. You can define steps required to execute the workflow and then assign and complete the individual tasks.
๐๏ธ Workflow Templates
A workflow template defines a multi step business process such as New Starter, Change Role, Leaver etc. The template defines the steps required and their order and who is responsible for completing each step. Templates can be associated with a entity such as Employee or project so they can be linked to a specific employee or project, such as a new starter workflow or a new project workflow.
๐๏ธ Execute Workflows
Once a template has been created, you can then execute the workflow. There are several places that allow you to create a new workflow from a template:
๐๏ธ Manage My Tasks
You can assign checklist tasks to yourself or the checklist ownwer can assign them to you. There are various places you can see checklists tasks assigned to you.
๐๏ธ Entity Based Workflows
When creating a template it is possible to assign the template to an entity which allows a workflow to be linked to a specific entity in Workup. You can assign a template to be for a Company, Employee, Project and User. When you execute that template to create a checklist, the checklist is then linked to a specific company, employee, project or user.
