๐๏ธ Administration Overview
There are various pages available under the Admin menu to manange configuration and security items in Workup. Generally, you have to be your organisation's administrator to maintain these but you can create custom roles to provide access to other users. These admin items are listed below.
๐๏ธ Manage Roles
Security roles are used to configure what each user is allowed to do and which data they have access to within Workup. A role is made up of a set of low level permissions which refer to specific actions or data items within Workup. A role can have multiple permissions and a user can have multiple roles. Roles are listed on the Admin-Roles page.
๐๏ธ Role Matrix
The Admin-Role Matrix page provides a simple view to see which users have which roles without having to go into each user individually.
๐๏ธ Manage Users
Users can be managed from the Admin-Users page. This lists all users in the system. Users can be added or updated from this page. Workup has three different views of a User in the system; these are User, Employee and Resource. The User view is primarily around login and security details. The Employee view allows you to view and maintain employee details such as contracts, skills and the lifecycle of the employee. The Resource view provides details for scheduling and manaaging the availability of the user for projects. Creating a User also initialises the Employee and Resource view of the user which can also then be updated.
๐๏ธ Organisation Settings
There are various settings you can configure for your organisation. Only the the admin user can update the organisation settings. These can be changed from the Admin-Org Settings page or using the organisation onboarding wizard.
๐๏ธ Manage Lists
Items such as currencies, countries, gender are stored in configurable lists within Workup. Each will have a set of default values but these can be changed. These Lists are shown on the Admin-Lists page.
๐๏ธ Manage Categories
You can group and filter various items within Workup by category such as projects, roles and skills. Workup will set some default values for some of these categories but you can add new values to each of the categories. You can not actually create new categories.
๐๏ธ Billing
When you signup to Workup you start a 14 day trial, normally on the Essentials tier. As you approach trial expiry you will be prompted to subscribe to a paid plan. If your trial expires then the application will become read-only until you subscribe.
