Define Organisation Structure

Workup allows you to both manage the structure of departments within an organisation as well as all the reporting lines within the organisation. You can view the organisation structure from the Employees page.

You can configure departments using the People-Departments page. For each department you can set up a parent depeartment that allows you to define the structure of the organisation. Each department can have a manager but individual reporting lines are defined for each employee.

Employee Hierarchy

Employee reporting lines are configured using the People-Employees page. For each employee, you can define their manager which defines the reporting lines for the organisation. Each employee can only report to a single manager and this does not need to be the manager of the department to which they belong.

The Hierarchy tab shows you the reporting structure graphically and allows you to drill down on each level of reporting.
